Ambulance change after public outcry
After an outburst from the public, Ambulance stations at Lapta are being reopened
They will only be back during opening hours, so there will be no 112 emergency out-of-hours service. These services cost the TRNC budget more than 30,000TL per month.
A furious recation was prompted when news broke out of the ambulance station closures.
Ingrid Lindh, 28, started a petition for them to return. She is still working on collecting names to reinstate the 24 hour service but believes things are heading in the right direction.
The founder of the 112 ambulance service has thanked people for backing the return of the service.
